  • Founder

    Born and raised in New York City with six brothers and sisters and two hardworking parents. Rashidi is no stranger to adversity. His background is what motivated him to build on what his parents have instilled in him. Although Rashidi has worked in the insurance industry for over 10 years and held various roles within that industry, he wanted to put his strong background in sales, finances and customer service to even better use by cofounding RKT Appraisals. As a person who went from not understanding financial empowerment and enrichment to someone who is now a staunch advocate for financial literacy, Rashidi wants to share all of his knowledge and skills with people who are ready to start managing their credit (RKT offers credit management instead of “credit repair” because when someone repairs something, they often do not think about its maintenance, however, credit management involves consistent maintenance) in order to build wealth. One of Rashidi’s main goals is to help people achieve their dreams of becoming a homeowner. But homeownership does not stop there, Rashidi wants to ensure that once a person achieve their financial goals they are able to protect the assets that they have worked so diligently to acquire, which is why Rashidi’s company RKT Appraisals also offers life insurance and mortgage insurance. RKT’s number one goal is to offer its customers a place that helps them with their entire financial scope, whether that be services to improve credit, to create generational wealth, to protect families, or to build for the future.

    Kalim Smith was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York he has 7 siblings. Kalim always had ambition and was no stranger to hard work. As a teenager. As a young adult, Kalim got into the food and service industry. He was always a people person, so customer service became second nature to him. After 10 years, Kalim hung up his apron and chef hat and decided to leave the food industry. He needed a change in his life something that would fulfill him and give his life more purpose. Kalim decided to join the financial service industry as a licensed financial service broker. Kalim educates people on financial literacy and teaches his clients how to make, save, and invest money. Kalim also believes that once an individual has their finances in order, all other aspects of their life will fall respectively into place, allowing them to leave a bountiful legacy behind for their family for generations to come. For this reason, Kalim helps to ensure that RKT focuses on making certain that all their clients are properly protected with affordable life insurance and mortgage insurance. Through RKT, Kalim helps clients gradually eliminate debt, whether it be medical bills, student loans, or credit card debt. Lastly, Kalim wanted to make sure all RKT clients have a retirement plan set in place, as well as how to maximize that plan’s benefits. Most importantly, Kalim wants his clients to be ready for every step and milestone in their lives.
